Welcome Friends!

What an exciting time we live in.  We are lucky enough to have access to amazing resources that allow us and our students to connect with and learn from the world.  Let's jump in!
This site is a resource for educators.  We need to trade, share & learn.  Some people come to me for support, thinking I know the answers...the funny thing is, in relation to the people I follow online, I know very little...what makes me different perhaps is that I will ask, research & figure it out.

I am petrified of heights, need to take anti-anxiety medication when I step foot on a plane, and in most aspects of my life I'm a big old fraidy cat.  However, when it comes to asking for help, or acknowledging my ignorance, I'm absolutely fearless.  We all have our strengths I guess.

If you ever wonder why, when you say to me, "I have a question..", my reply is almost always "I might have an answer."  That's my way of acknowledging that I don't know everything...I will never know everything, nor will anyone else.  How can anyone know everything about the Internet or technology?  It's always changing!  That is what makes it so amazing!!! In our ever-changing world, my strategy is to openly acknowledge my ignorance, embrace my ignorance and then say, bring on the learning.

How can we teach our children that?  They are growing up in a world that is changing so quickly and evolving constantly.  Our students need to be adaptable.  I firmly believe we need to model this for them.  It's okay to tell them you don't know the answer...but you also need to show them that you know how to ask the questions and find the answers.

So welcome friends, I use this site as a place to organize resources I find in various places online and off.  I'm always adding, so please give me some suggestions.  Please use this site, I hope it helps you do what you do best :)  I'm always learning, so please continue Learning Edtech with me!
