So many resources, so little time...

Finally, I have an instant to add some more resources to the site.  Every time I see something new, my first instinct is to figure out how quickly I can get it out there to everyone to share.  There are so many cool ways to integrate technology into our everyday classroom practice.

Rick's desire to have his students create a virtual character from their novel study led us to seek ideas from people within the board.  After posting a request for suggestions on First Class we were met with a variety of suggestions, some we were familiar with & others that were new to us.  I've added those suggestions to the Online for Students section.  Be sure to check out Bitstrips, Voki & Doppelme.

In the Lesson Planning & P.D. section I added a link to resources that Steve in eLearning added to the First Class Computers & Technology Conference.  The link takes you to a livebinder site that contains many links to explore.  I hope to take some time & explore the links there more closely so that I may point you all towards some of the ones that are the most applicable to elementary education.

Finally, if you click on Resources by Theme & explore the section entitled Diversity, Equity & Social Justice, you will find a PDF list of Canadian literature for young people that was compiled by Helen Kubiw, a Teacher-Librarian within our board.   The list is extensive & amazing.  Be sure to check out Helen's blog, which she devotes to Canadian Literature for children.

Enjoy!

Thanks Jane! Now if only I could complete my IPRC forms on the computer. :)
