September is almost gone!

It is hard to believe that September is almost gone & I am only now posting to my blog.

I made a concerted effort this summer to have a technology detox!

Aside from a fun & fantastic week working with some truly amazing people writing some really cool Digital Citizenship content (more information to come at ECOO!), I totally took a technology break.  I read, I played sports & I camped.  It was great, so forgive my absence & help me welcome my new friend...balance. :)

Here are some things I've been working on:

Google Classroom - Yes!  You will love it.  It is user friendly and what I've been waiting for in the Google Platform.

Google Read & Write - Speech to Text!!!  Hooray!!! Check out my updated help sheets!

Prodigy Math - Looking to pump up those basic math skills?  If you haven't done so already, check out Prodigy Math Game.  It is a Manga style game that requires the kids to participate in magical math battles to gain more weapons, pets and levels.  You can select the curriculum level for the student (1-8), based on the Ontario Curriculum.  You can also select EQAO preparation style questions.  It is easy to set up & better yet free!  I've did a trial with my daughter and she loves it.  I can even select specific questions she can practice for an upcoming test at school, to give her another fun way to study.

Updates on Learn360 - UGDSB people, check out the updated videos for the Primary & Junior levels that have been added to Learn360 by Michelle Campbell.  Always be sure to contact her if you have any requests for specific content that you would like to see added.

More fun & excitement as this year progresses.  I'm working on some workshops that I will offer to UGDSB staff in the coming months, so stay tuned!
