Idea Shop and More

I was lucky enough to attend Idea Shop last night.  This is a P.D. session put on by a group of Teacher-Librarians, as well as colleagues who work at Media Services and the Cataloguing Centre.  It was great to put faces to all the names I have seen & heard throughout my first few months in the library.  I feel so lucky to be able to share with you some of the resources that they shared with me last night.

Idea Shop focused on Diversity, Equity & Social Justice.  I received numerous lists of books and online resources that I have asked permission to share with you.

You will notice that there is now a new tab for Resources by Theme.  There you will find resource lists for videos available on Learn 360 that will help us teach to the themes of Diversity, Equity & Social Justice.   I hope to add many thematic lists on this page over time.

You will also find that I put a link on this page to the list of Earth Day resources I posted on the conference earlier this week.

Finally, I did add a few new media streaming links: Solving for X and Green TV.  Green TV is a collection of videos with an environmental focus.  Solving for X is best described by the video link below.  Enjoy!
